Only in DarknessI stared at the cold, wet dirt which blurred out in a matter of seconds, and salty tears slid down my bruised cheeks. I rested my head on my knees, linking my aching arms together around my equally hurting legs, and clenched my eyes shut. I did my very best to hold them back, just like I did my very best to stop my horrid classmates from beating me. But I failed miserably, just like I did with them and everything else. I was slumped against the back of the school building, and I was hurting—that’s all I really knew at the moment. That, and I was really, truly unloved.
